Landscape Committee

The Landscape Committee concerns itself with all issues relating to all plants within the common area of the community, including grass, shrubs, flowers, trees, and bushes. The committee charter is to oversee the maintenance and well-being of the plant life in the community. Tasks are to:

    • Monitor the work of landscaping contractors employed by the HOA.
    • Take responsibility for brush clearance, health of vegetation and irrigation on the slope areas.
    • Take responsibility for brush clearance in and around the Waste Water Treatment Plant (including the pond itself).
    • Consider alternate choices for vegetation (i.e. drought resistant, low maintenance, native species).
    • Consult with LARC in matters of aesthetic landscaping choices.
    • Take responsibility for any necessary Fire Suppression measures.
    • Work with management to field bids for any related task not covered in ongoing contracts with landscaper/arborists.
    • Compile a list of appropriate plant choices for HOA members to consider when making individual landscaping choices.
