HELPFUL RESOURCES FOR SENIORS
Canyon Sages
Topanga residents aged 50 and up and people with disabilities are encouraged to sign up for the Sage's mailing list at canyonsages.com or call (818) 225-1909. Seniors may also sign up for Operation Knock: “Sheriff deputies will attempt to knock on your door, to the best of their ability, to check in and assist at-risk people during a disaster or extended blackout.” To sign up, email the Sages at thecanyonsages@gmail.com.
One Generation offers meal delivery and other services for seniors 60+. They send a driver every weekday around lunchtime to deliver a hot meal and sides. On Fridays they deliver frozen meals for the weekend. They serve TOT, and you don’t have to be housebound or disabled to qualify.
Project Angel Food offers meal delivery and other services to people in our area with medical conditions.
